Efforts on rent control show progress, but not in Paris

More than a quarter of rental ads exceed the authorized rent ceiling, but the situation is improving in France, just not in Paris, according to the barometer of the Abbé Pierre Foundation unveiled today. Rent control is "increasingly proving its effectiveness," say the authors of the study, which is based on an analysis of 23,500 ads between August 2023 and August 2024.
