A bicycle hall designed by Arep at the Gare du Nord

At the outset, the client's request was not to build a hall, but an efficient bicycle parking facility at the Gare du Nord in Paris. The roof was a key element in the project, as the parking spaces had to be sheltered to comply with the LOM law (loi d'Orientation des mobilités). However, the context is one of heritage, subject to the opinion of the architect of Bâtiments de France, which complicated the equation somewhat.
