Real estate investment and asset management firm Clifton Blake is merging with Metropolitan Commercial Realty, a company that is being rebranded as CB Metropolitan Commercial as it joins Clifton Blake.
CB Metropolitan Commercial, or CB Metcom, a firm that has completed thousands of sales and leasing transactions, brings a large broker network to Clifton Blake, the firm said. The deal will also enhance its ability to source off-market deals, access timely property intelligence, and underwrite deals with more speed and precision, according to Clifton Blake.
Clifton Blake said CB Metcom's client base will open new capital streams and will expand its market reach while boosting its ability to serve investors, tenants and borrowers.
"By adding a commercial brokerage to our in-house capabilities, we now control a broader segment of the real estate value chain, from origination and underwriting to lending, construction, leasing, and property management," said KC Daya, chief executive officer of Clifton Blake, in a statement. "Our leadership in full cycle management ensures a wide bank of service offerings and customized solutions for investors, tenants, and property owners."
Financial terms for the merger were not disclosed.
Clifton Blake said the merger will give it an operational advantage because of broader market intelligence and extended reach into the brokerage community. CB Metcom's clients will get access to Clifton Blake's lending and investment solutions, creating opportunity across the platform.
"We're stronger together," said Ming Zee, managing director of CB Metcom, in a statement. "We're offering something rare in the market. Our brokerage team now operates within a fully integrated real estate platform, supported by capital, lending, and development expertise."
CB Metcom joins Clifton Blake's other in-house real estate affiliates, including CB Wilkinson, a dedicated construction management division, Roxborough Communities, a property management and residential leasing firm, and American-based partner CB South Capital, which provides specialized capital structuring for real estate assets and cross-border referral opportunities to the parent company.
