Both Tory leadership candidates have alluded to possible business rates reform if they are elected. But with the economic landscape set to deteriorate, companies are relying on these candidates to pay more than lip service to addressing business rates. With inflation at 10%, and set to rise further during a bleak winter, the government must act now.
