Stream expands DC team; Populous picks pair to launch Atlanta office; Woodfield adds multifamily executive

Stream Realty Partners expanded its Washington, D.C., services with the hiring of Lou Christopher, Jordan Brainard and Asher Inman. The trio, who joined the firm from CBRE, will focus on office tenant representation, Stream said. Christopher joined the Dallas-based firm as an executive vice chairman and partner, Brainard as managing director and vice chairman and Inman as a vice president.

Christopher and Brainard have partnered for more than 15 years on assignments such as tenant leasing and corporate headquarters site selection, representing local and national clients. Christopher’s 37 years of experience includes transactions on behalf of law firms, government agencies, nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies. Brainard’s 20-year career includes prior roles in real estate ownership and development.

Populous opened a new Atlanta office, headed by 30-year industry veterans Rob Svedberg and Lee Pollock, marking the 16th office in the Americas for the global designer of sports, entertainment, convention and related venues. Svedberg joined Kansas City, Missouri-based Populous as a senior principal after work that included large convention center projects in Las Vegas, New York and Raleigh, North Carolina. Pollock joined as a senior urban designer. The Atlanta office is in the city’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, known for its civil-rights history and connection to the Atlanta Beltline's Eastside Trail.

National multifamily investment firm Woodfield Development appointed Tyler Butterworth as vice president of asset management. The company said Butterworth, based at the firm’s headquarters in Charleston, South Carolina, will oversee areas such as leasing, property repositioning, capital improvements and portfolio financial performance. His decade-long career includes prior senior roles at Kairoi Residential and Hunt Capital Partners.

Developer Portman Holdings said it hired Scott Ziegler as senior vice president of mixed-use development, responsible for projects in Florida and the Carolinas. He joined Portman from Hines, where he served as managing director. Ziegler brings 20 years of experience in development and investment, with earlier work at Canyon Partners and Lubert-Adler Real Estate Funds.

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, better known as SIOR, appointed industry veteran David Lockwood III as its CEO, effective March 30. Lockwood has been a member of the Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate trade group since 1990 and served as global president in 2024. He worked most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Colliers’ South Carolina operations.

Project management firm Shawmut Design and Construction added two executives to its New England regional operations, based in Boston. The company said Chris Halliday was hired as the region’s first director of construction innovation and Colleen Kelly joined as director of business development. Halliday has returned to Shawmut after recent work as director and digital product lead at Holcim. Kelly held prior business roles at Fenagh Engineering and Testing.

Alexandria, Virginia-based multifamily investment firm Bonaventure hired Ian McElreath as senior vice president of capital markets and Phil Joyce as vice president. McElreath brings 20 years of experience and will focus on capital raising in the firm’s Eastern region. Joyce has 19 years of experience and will support expansion in key Northeast regions.

Acadia Realty Trust promoted AJ Levine to executive vice president of leasing and development, and Erica Pipitone to vice president of financial reporting. The Rye, New York-based investment firm said Levine previously served as its senior vice president of leasing and development. Pipitone served most recently as its director of financial reporting. Also, Joseph Napolitano informed the company of his plans to retire as senior vice president and chief administrative officer, on or around April 1.
