Transwestern appoints Arizona leader, Cushman grows in South Florida, Avison Young expands New York team

New hires, promotions and other personnel changes

Transwestern appointed Gene Laramee as its new regional asset services leader in Phoenix. Laramee will oversee property management operations for the firm’s office, industrial and healthcare portfolio across Arizona, Transwestern said.

Bringing over 25 years of experience to the role, Laramee most recently served as president of Arizona Commercial Management, where he steered growth across a number of the commercial real estate services firms’ portfolios and managed multiple teams. Before that, he held senior positions at Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.

Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its South Florida retail team with the addition of Aracibo Quintana as an executive managing director and Marty Arrivo as an executive director. The two will work with local teams as well as with colleagues across gateway markets such as New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco to boost the firm’s retail leasing and advisory services, Cushman & Wakefield said. With a combined 50 years of experience, Quintana and Arrivo joined the firm from Ripco Real Estate. Before that, they co-founded Acre, a Miami-based retail advisory firm.

Avison Young bolstered its New York office with five new hires. Christian Stanton, who joined as a principal, will spearhead retail leasing, the brokerage said. Oliver Petrovic and Jason Schwartzenburg, who joined as executive directors, will focus on office tenant representation. Libby Hodes, a director, will focus on retail agency and tenant representation. Alex Woodlief, who joined Avison Young's investment sales team, concentrates on Manhattan’s Midtown and Midtown South markets.

Atlanta’s Selig Enterprises announced a slew of promotions that include Yolanda King to vice president of property management; Pamela Blue to vice president of accounting and finance; Patrick Girard to vice president of investments, Elizabeth Hagin, to vice president of marketing and communications; Ruth Crittenden to associate vice president of development and Taano Kow-Mayes, to associate vice president of marketing and placemaking. The promotions follow the recent appointment of Malloy Peterson to chief operating officer.

Cincinnati-based Phillips Edison & Co., a firm that owns and operates grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping centers nationally, hired Dan Sutherland as vice president of acquisitions for its Western region. The role encompasses Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, with Sutherland being responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities across the territory, Phillips Edison said. He most recently served in a similar capacity at Sterling Organization and brings over two decades of experience to the role.

Bolour Associates, a Los Angeles-based family office-backed real estate finance, investment and development firm, promoted Brad Fahlgren to managing director, strategic partnerships and capital formation, as the firm expands across private real estate credit and equity strategies. Fahlgren originally joined the firm in 2018 and built the firm’s investor relations and capital formation platforms.

Houston-based Griffin Partners promoted Kelly Agent to chief operating officer, and said Lee Moreland now serves in the new role of chief portfolio officer. As COO, Griffin is responsible for executing the firm’s investment strategy and overseeing property, construction and risk management, as well as human resources, the company said.

Moreland will continue to lead the firm’s asset management team and work alongside CEO Edward Griffin to leverage the company’s strategic vision to create a cohesive real estate portfolio, the company said. Moreland joined Griffin Partners in 2006 and Agent in 2022.
