Property consultancy Colliers has recruited its next cohort of young real estate professionals to its UK business.
A total of 43 'Early Career' programme participants, including seven apprentices, and 36 graduates, five of which have graduated from a non-cognate degree, have joined the business.
The two programmes, of two or five years in length, will result in the group achieving chartered status through the RICS-accredited Assessment of Professional Competence.
Colliers said the individuals will rotate through various property sector specialisms and advisory services available in the firm during their training, and will also receive mentorship from business leaders.
The cohort will train across the company's UK offices in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
John Munday, Colliers’ UK CEO, said welcoming the 43 apprentices and graduates to the firm was a "proud moment for us".
He added: "These professionals represent the future of our industry, and we’re committed to providing them with the skills, guidance and opportunities they need to thrive.
"We believe that investing in early careers is investing in the long-term success of our people, as well as our clients and communities."
As well as its annual intake of graduates and apprenticeships, Colliers has also invited an additional group of students to take part in a paid, month-long summer internship, ahead of applying for the Early Careers programme.
Lydia Ings, human resources director at Colliers, added: "We have a strong record of retention through our Early Careers programme, many of our graduates and apprentices stay with us for many years, or return to Colliers after gaining experience elsewhere.
"For us, this programme is more than a route to chartered status, it’s a chance to really curate the kind of business we want to be, and in recent years we’ve been broadening our scope to welcome non-cognates and more apprenticeships, because we want to make sure that Colliers is the launchpad for future professionals, and in time, leaders in real estate."
