Former Knight Frank Partner Joins North East Firm

Industrial property firm HTA Real Estate has expanded its team after appointing investment specialist Douglas Cranston. Cranston joins the Newcastle-based property consultancy as investment director, bringing more than 20 years' experience following time at MCM, Knight Frank and JLL in senior roles. He will lead the firm’s investment department, handling acquisitions and disposals on behalf of pension funds, property companies and private individuals. He will also provide strategic asset management advice to property investors to help them enhance portfolio performance.

Abrdn Investment Director Leaves for Orion

European private equity real estate firm Orion Capital Managers has named Andrea Goss as director in its investor relations team. Goss, who joins from abrdn after two years as investment director, will service the firm’s existing client base, assist in the fundraising for Orion’s sixth pan-European fund, as well as executing co-investment and other initiatives. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in raising capital and providing corporate finance advice to institutional clients,15 years of which were spent at Eastdil Secured in New York and London.

LSH Launches Property’s Football Cup

LSH and its M4 corridor chief Jon Rea-Palmer are getting ready to host the men's football property cup next month, with CoStar News getting the call up to be the media sponsor for this year's event. The Property Cup, which takes place on 1 May at QPR's Loftus Road, will see representatives from the UK's leading agents do battle in a knock-out tournament that raises funds for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research. Last year, a total of £6,200 was raised and the tournament has raised close to £50,000 in the past 10 years.

Muse Adds Three Regional Recruits

Muse, the nationwide developer and regeneration specialist, is growing across the country with three senior hires across regional teams in the North West, Midlands, and South. Richard Kelly has been appointed as project director in the North West, arriving with more than 20 years’ industry experience. Cate Howe has been appointed as a senior project manager in the Midlands, arriving from Cordia UK. Joining in the South, Tom Jackson becomes a senior development manager, entering the London team.

Outpost Management Appoints Investment Director

Outpost Management has appointed Niall Sheridan as director of investments, a newly-created role the firm hopes will bolster its engagement with institutional capital partners. Sheridan joins Outpost from Cain International, where as vice-president he led pan-European real estate investment projects, specialising in institutional underwriting, due diligence and asset management. He has also held roles at Hines and Deutsche Bank in the past across a 12-year career, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Eddisons Expands South Coast Operation

Property consultant Eddisons has made three hires across its Fareham, Bournemouth and Isle of Wight offices. Dan Preddy joins as a senior building surveyor after five years at Southampton architecture and planning firm Simpson Hilder Associates. Natalie Kyle enters the valuation team as a senior surveyor, bringing seven years’ commercial property experience, including a period at JLL. Pauline Wilson becomes a property manager and has more than 25 years of property experience, with four in property management.

National Consultancy Hires Finance Director

Barnsdales, the national property consultancy and chartered surveyors, has hired seasoned financial professional Ian Dickinson as its finance and operations director. Dickinson, who has more than 16 years of experience managing finance in the property sector, will oversee budgets and forecast financial trends for the growing business, which recently opened its first London office. Former RICS president Professor Graham Chase also joined as head of valuations earlier this year.
