U.S. hotel performance for July 2026

ARLINGTON, Va. – 25 August 2026 – U.S. hotel performance showed positive year-over-year comparisons, according to July 2026 data from CoStar, a leading global provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics in the property markets. 

July 2026 (percentage change from July 2025):

• Occupancy: 69.7% (+2.3%)
• Average daily rate (ADR): US$171.74 (+5.7%)
• Revenue per available room (RevPAR): US$119.77 (+8.2%)

Among the Top 25 Markets, Detroit reported the only double-digit occupancy increase (+10.7% to 70.7%). 

New York City, which hosted the FIFA World Cup Final, registered the largest gains in ADR (+24.0% to US$351.18) and RevPAR (+27.1% to US$305.74).  

Overall, 22 of the Top 25 Markets saw a jump in RevPAR.
