STR Chain Scales

For benchmarking, hotel brands and chains are categorized into chain scales based primarily on the prior year’s global system-wide average daily rate (ADR). STR establishes the rate ranges that define each chain scale. Independent properties, regardless of their rate level, are assigned to a distinct chain scale category separate from branded groups.
