Translated from French.

Elo Holding, which includes Auchan Retail, New Immo Holding and Oney, has unveiled its financial results for H1 2024. It reported a loss of almost one billion euros (€973 million), compared with €214 million in H1 2023. To cope with these financial difficulties, around a third of Auchan's hypermarket sales area will be reduced "in all its European countries" excluding Russia - where the Mulliez Group, which owns the Auchan Group, still has a presence. Ultimately, this will represent an "average reduction of 25% in sales area".
