Savills adds Philadelphia director; Newmark expands industrial team; Portillo's names development chief

Robert Mansell joined Savills as managing director in its Philadelphia office, as the company looks to expand its industrial-focused occupier advisory services in the region. Mansell will work with local and national clients in manufacturing, supply chain and related logistics industries, Savills said.

Mansell joined the firm from EQT Real Estate, where he served as manager of global tenant accounts after earlier work as an investment and leasing officer for EQT. He held prior roles at Bank of America and Boldyn Networks.

Newmark hired four veteran industrial leasing specialists in Atlanta as it seeks to grow its services in the larger Southeast region. Michael Bennett and Jim Bob Taylor joined Newmark as vice chairmen, and Kaleigh Schlosser and Matt Skole as senior managing directors. Bennett, Taylor, Schlosser and Skole joined Newmark from Cresa and will advise owners and tenants on matters such as site selection, development, investment and leasing, Newmark said.

Chicago-based restaurant operator Portillo’s appointed Jennifer Pecoraro-Striepling to chief development officer as the chain looks to expand nationally. Pecoraro-Striepling brings more than 25 years of industry experience, having served in prior management roles at Miller’s Ale House, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, Papa Johns, Bloomin’ Brands and Darden Restaurants. Portillo’s operates more than 100 restaurants across 11 states, serving Chicago-style hot dogs and burgers. It previously announced plans to expand in Texas and other Sun Belt states.

Commercial facilities management firm ISS North America hired Brian Velo as senior vice president of sales. Velo is based in Chicago and brings more than two decades of real estate experience, having worked most recently as a senior managing director in CBRE’s global workplace solutions practice. He held earlier roles at Cushman & Wakefield, JLL and Deloitte.

Cabot Properties, a firm that invests in and develops logistics properties, promoted four executives as part of its global expansion efforts. The Boston-based company said Kara Brown is now chief administrative officer, with Justin Harvey and Mike McCarthy named co-chief investment officers of the firm’s value funds. Damian Bailey was promoted to chief investment officer of Cabot’s core funds, with Charlie Forbes transitioning to vice chairman of investment committees for its core and value funds. Brown will retain the existing roles of general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Newport News, Virginia-based multifamily management firm Drucker and Falk said it named Crystal Plum as chief financial officer. Plum brings several years of financial experience, serving most recently as chief financial officer at Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust. She held earlier roles at accounting firm Dixon Hughes Goodman and Bank of America.

Construction law firm Zetlin & De Chiara added Nicholas Kauffman as a partner in its New York office. Kauffman has three decades of experience representing owners, developers, contractors and other building clients.

Construction planning and design firm HPM hired Christy Colee as director of K-12 business development, as the Birmingham, Alabama-based company seeks to grow its client project base in key Southeast regions. Colee, a former teacher, joined HPM from Renaissance Learning, where she worked in sales and business development.
