Avison Young promoted Los Angeles-based Meghann Martindale to senior director of U.S. retail strategy. In her expanded role, she will work alongside Gavin Farnam, leader of the brokerage’s U.S. retail services platform. Martindale will focus on turning retail data and insights into firm strategies that improve client decision-making and improve broker productivity, Avison Young said.
Martindale originally joined Avison Young in 2024 as principal, director of retail market intelligence following the firm’s acquisition of Madison Marquette Retail Services. There, she built and led the brokerage’s retail research platform that supported the leasing, management, marketing and investment sales teams. She brings over 25 years of experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at CBRE, Related Cos. and Simon Property Group.
Lee & Associates of Illinois promoted two brokers, elevating Tony Russo to executive vice president and Matthew Androwich to vice president. Russo joined Lee & Associates in 2020 and has led the firm’s office brokerage team that advises landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers on deals and leasing strategies. Androwich joined the group’s industrial team in 2023. This is his second promotion in six months.
Partners Real Estate hired Charlie Johnson as an executive vice president and head of the firm’s new federal leasing practice. He brings nearly 25 years of experience from various positions with the General Services Administration Public Buildings Service. Johnson and his Atlanta-based team will offer contract auditing, advisory and owner representation services, Partners said.
Partners also said Stewart Yates joined as an equity partner and will lead the firm’s new Healthcare Investment Services platform. Also based in Atlanta, Yates will lead Partners' entrance into the healthcare real estate sector. Yates joined the firm from Colliers along with Ben Carter, who came over as an associate broker.
National affordable and mixed-income housing developer Fairstead hired Keith Kinard as senior director of public housing. He will focus on structuring partnerships between public housing authorities and private-sector stakeholders through Rental Assistance Demonstration conversions, Project Based Voucher and Housing Assistance Payment opportunities, Fairstead said. He brings nearly 30 years of experience to the role.
Red Oak Capital Holdings, has brought on Jeff Pirhalla as managing director of production. Based in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina, headquarters, Pirhalla will lead loan origination strategy and production initiatives across the company’s lending platform, Red Oak said. With over 25 years of national lending experience, Pirhalla will report to Matthew Webster, chief credit officer, and will work alongside CEO Gary Bechtel.
Atlanta-based commercial real estate services firm Scotland Wright Associates promoted Nathan Williams to principal. Williams joined SWA in 2023, and the firm said he will help grow its industrial services business. In his expanded role he will continue to lead client engagement and aid SWA's ongoing expansion efforts.
Kidder Mathews Senior Vice President Carter McFarland has received the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors for being among the nation's top-producing brokers. McFarland specializes in office and flex leasing, representing tenants throughout Portland’s Central City and Southwest suburbs. He has facilitated deals exceeding $500 million throughout the course of his career.
