TW Keil, a commercial property consultancy advising landlords, occupiers, investors and developers across retail, leisure, restaurant and mixed-use, has appointed David Carlsson to help grow its central London presence.

As part of his new role as director of retail agency at the firm, which focuses on investment, agency and lease advisory, Carlsson will work with clients across retail, restaurant, leisure and mixed-use.

In his previous role, he was a director in JLL’s central London retail team where he focused on London retail agency, his LinkedIn page shows. During his six-year tenure at the firm he advised landlords and retailers across the capital, specifically the West End, City of London and Midtown.

Prior to this, he spent six years at Colliers as a director in the London retail agency team, where he advised landlords and occupiers across London's retail, restaurant and leisure market.

His clients and projects have included Shaftesbury’s Carnaby, Soho and Chinatown Estates, The Crown Estate’s St James’s Holdings, CBRE Global Investors’ Bow Lane Estates and More London & London Bridge City and St Martins, his LinkedIn page added. He also advised on the site acquisition and pre-let of Boxpark in Shoreditch.

Carlsson has also advised a wide range of retail and restaurant occupiers on acquisitions, expansion plans and portfolio strategy, the company said in a statement.

Carlsson said: " I'm looking forward to working with this experienced team to drive growth across Central London. TW Keil has built a strong reputation in the market for providing bespoke director led cohesive Investment, Agency and Lease Advisory expertise and I am excited to be part of the growth plans."

Ben Tyack at TW Keil, who heads up investment, said: "David brings extensive landlord and occupier experience, having advised major estates and brands across the capital. He has been involved in standout projects, and his relationships and market knowledge make him a fantastic addition to the team as we continue to grow our Central London business."

The hire comes as part of a broader expansion plan by TW Keil, focused on investing in talent and growing its market share across retail, leisure and mixed-use in the capital.
