Nonfarm payroll employment in Southern California's Orange County declined by 24,700 in January, following the holiday shopping season, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics release in March. The expected monthly loss was modest compared to prior years, and when adjusted for seasonality, employment continues to climb into record territory.
