While institutional investors in the US have been interested in alternative property types for some time, their European counterparts have historically favoured the more traditional office and retail sectors. However, this is changing and Europe is anticipated to be one of the highest growth regions in the world in alternative property sectors such as student housing, senior housing, residential, and self-storage.
