JLL expands valuation team; Colliers hire targets California deals; Cushman adds Atlanta director

JLL expanded the executive team of its value and risk advisory practice with the hiring of Becci Curry as global head of strategy, quality management and institutional lead, and Eric Durden as U.S. head of value and risk advisory. Curry is based in Seattle, and Durden is in Atlanta.

The real estate services firm said it seeks to meet rising national demand for valuation and advisory services among institutional investors. Curry is a former chief appraiser at Columbia State Bank and served earlier as a senior appraiser at CBRE. Durden previously led valuation and advisory services in CBRE’s Southern division, serving most recently as executive managing director. He worked earlier at Colliers and Duff & Phelps.

Colliers continued its Southern California expansion with the addition of industrial broker Brad Fox as a senior vice president. The company said Fox, based in Ontario, California, will handle transactions in the Inland Empire and neighboring Orange County. He has 12 years of sales, leasing, land assembly and site selection experience in one of the nation’s most competitive logistics regions. Fox held prior roles at Voit Real Estate Services and NAI Capital.

John Neal Scott joined Cushman & Wakefield as a senior director in its office agency leasing group. Based in Atlanta, Scott joined the firm from Foundry Commercial, where he was a senior vice president. His 16-year career includes work at JP Morgan, MetLife Real Estate and Hollandsworth Construction and experience in acquisitions and related portfolio management.

Multifamily development and investment management firm Hillpointe promoted Levi Cortez to senior vice president of multifamily operations. The Winter Park, Florida-based company said Cortez previously served as a regional vice president. He brings more than 20 years of experience, including prior roles at McKinley, Cortland, Radco Residential, ZRS Management and LVL Living. Hillpointe said it also elevated Margaux Cutler and Kenson Dera to regional vice president after earlier work as regional managers.

Investment and development firm Middleburg hired Scott Makee as Western regional development partner, based in Denver. The Vienna, Virginia-based company said Makee will lead the firm’s planned expansion in high-growth Western regions. He brings more than two decades of multifamily and mixed-use development experience in the Southeast, Southwest, Texas and mountain states. Makee worked most recently as a senior managing director in Mill Creek Residential’s Denver office.

Logistics-focused investment management firm Ambrose promoted Dan Kmiecik and Todd Justus to senior development manager, and David Dunbar to market officer. The Indianapolis-based company said Kmiecik previously worked to expand its Florida and Denver operations, and Justus worked on its build-to-suit team for the past four years. Dunbar will focus on Midwest leasing and project pipeline expansion.

Provident Industrial, a division of Dallas-based investment firm Provident, appointed Eric Moser as market officer in charge of Northeast industrial development and acquisitions as part of the company's East Coast expansion. Provident said Moser, based in Philadelphia, will lead development efforts in other major urban logistics corridors, including Boston and Washington, D.C. He joined the firm from Logistics Property Co., where he served as vice president of development.

MRP Industrial said it expanded into the Southeast with the launch of a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Baltimore-based development and investment firm said it named senior vice presidents Ace Richardson and Tim Hudson to lead Southeast site acquisition and development activities. Richardson brings 12 years of experience, including prior work at Red Rock Developments. Hudson’s 13-year career includes earlier roles at Whiting-Turner Contracting Co.
