Global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has hired Alison Hardy as the head of its Real Estate Dispute Resolution practice in London.
Hardy will join from Ashurst, where she currently leads its Real Estate Dispute Resolution practice.
The law firm said her practice spans all areas of commercial real estate disputes, including development issues, energy and infrastructure matters, investment disputes and distressed real estate.
She has a particular focus on development disputes, property insolvency and joint venture disputes.
Hardy is also a member of the British Property Federation's Insolvency Committee, helping to examine the impact of tenant insolvencies on the property industry to help improve processes around CVAs and restructuring plans.
Matthew White, managing partner of HSF Kramer's UK & EMEA Real Estate practice, said in a statement: "Alison’s extensive experience across the entire spectrum of commercial real estate disputes complements our market-leading position in real estate across the UK, New York and Australia and will reinforce our reputation as a global disputes powerhouse. We are excited for Alison to join the firm."
