AXA Investment Managers has signed CloserStill Media, the business-to-business events group, for a new headquarters at The Foundry in Hammersmith as the West London office market finishes 2023 with a welcome increase in lettings.
CloserStill, advised by CBRE, has taken 23,500 square feet on the third floor of the AXA and Bell Hammer-developed building. The group is relocating from Exhibition House in Kensington.
The 135,000-square-foot Foundry was redeveloped by AXA IM – Real Assets with development manager Bell Hammer to include 23,000-square-foot floorplates, a squash court, roof terrace and cycle & shower facilities, including Brompton’s cycle hire scheme.
It is leased to Spaces on the ground and first floors and Fitflop and others on the part fourth floor.
In addition to The Foundry, Assembly London comprises three other buildings - Smiths Square, Farriers Yards and The Forge, which are leased to a range of tenants. The entire development comprises over 200,000 square feet of offices.

The letting continues a welcome upturn in letting activity in the west London market as the year draws to a close.
Elsewhere, Romulus has signed Roman Catholic school The London Oratory School for 8,257 square feet of offices at 2-6 Broadway Fulham, also home to supermarket Whole Foods Market, at a rent of circa £46.50 per square feet.

CoStar News revealed last week that Vue Cinemas, the UK global cinema chain, has signed to move its London offices to Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield's Westfield London shopping centre in west London. Vue has signed for the third floor comprising 14,000 square feet of offices at One Ariel Way.
Vue is advised by CBRE while Frost Meadowcroft and JLL advise Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
