Avison Young has picked principal and Senior Vice President Andrew Boyd to lead its Toronto office leasing practice.

The promotion, effective this week, bolsters the commercial real estate services firm’s leadership team in Ontario at a time when it’s growing the office leasing segment of its business.

“Andrew’s new role reflects our ongoing investment in leadership as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Toronto market,” said Joe Almeida, an Avison Young principal and managing director for Ontario, in a statement.

In his new role, Boyd has been tasked to identify growth opportunities, new ways to generate revenue and to support client and business development, Avison Young said. He also will focus on client retention for agency leasing and tenant representation.

Boyd will work closely with Almeida, Avison Young said. “Andrew’s new role reflects our ongoing investment in leadership as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Toronto market," Almeida said in a statement.

Boyd joined Avison Young in 32 years ago and has built his career in the office leasing space.
