West End property firm Brecker Grossmith has appointed Preenal Gondhea as its new head of professional services and asset management.

Gondhea previously worked at Tri Capital Properties, led by Jonathan Kessel and Daniel Sugar, as senior asset manager.

While working for J Safra Sarasin Asset Management, Gondhea was involved in the acquisition of 30 St Mary Axe in the City of London, also known as The Gherkin, for £726 million.

He was also a director at Perham Property for more than four years, according to his LinkedIn profile, and investment and asset manager at DAM Investments for a year.

Richard Brecker, director of Brecker Grossmith, which is based in Marylebone's 63 Wigmore Street and is 70 next year, said in a statement: "We are pleased to have someone on board with Preenal’s experience and standout commercial acumen."

Brecker Grossmith manages circa 100 properties in London and across the UK and is in talks with a number of high-net-worth family offices to expand the asset management department.
