After expanding notably in the 1970s, office parking ratios, or the number of parking spaces allocated per 1,000 square feet of office rentable building area, remained stable across the Montreal region through the next two decades. In the 2000s, office parking ratios expanded again, as much of the office space constructed during that decade was located in the suburbs.
