Westcore hire pursues industrial growth; Transwestern adds HR executive; SRS grows owner services team

Westcore targets industrial portfolio growth with new hire

Westcore said Faris Mansour joined the investment firm as managing director and head of portfolio management as it seeks to expand its industrial property holdings nationwide. Mansour served most recently as managing director and head of business development at PGIM Real Estate, where he led capital raising teams for transactions in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

During his career, Mansour has participated in nearly $17 billion in real estate and infrastructure transactions. Prior to PGIM, he led investment, development and related activities at Mubadala Pramerica Real Estate Investors and Macquarie Capital Advisors. San Diego-based Westcore has more than $4 billion in assets under management and operates regional offices in Dallas and Oakland, California. 

Transwestern taps talent retention manager

Real estate services firm Transwestern said it hired Kati Lavarias as senior manager and organizational development strategist to focus on matters such as talent retention and recruiting. The Houston-based firm said Lavarias will work with Chief Human Resources Officer Allison Allen, the firm said. Lavarias, who works in Transwestern's Dallas office, has nearly a decade of talent management experience, working most recently at business consulting firm Ernst & Young, where she led recruiting, retention and related functions. 

SRS bolsters owner services in Atlanta

SRS Real Estate Partners hired industry veteran Brittany McCall as a senior vice president in its Atlanta office. McCall has two decades of commercial real estate experience and will focus on project leasing and expanding the firm’s owner services platform, the Dallas-based company said.

McCall joined SRS from Vantage Realty Partners, where she handled leasing for institutional landlords and ownership groups such as Cousins Properties, South City Partners, Tishman Speyer and Perennial Properties. McCall’s work during the past decade has focused primarily on project leasing and landlord representation for urban retail and mixed-use properties throughout metropolitan Atlanta.

Cushman & Wakefield expands Florida valuation team

Nick Chop joined Cushman & Wakefield as a senior leader in the firm’s valuation and advisory group. Chop, based in Jacksonville, Florida, will focus on Cushman’s property valuation and advisory practice geared to infrastructure and energy clients, the real estate services firm said. Before joining Cushman as an executive director, he worked at CBRE as an executive vice president and right-of-way practice lead.

Chop has more than 30 years of experience in eminent domain and infrastructure-related real estate valuation. He has worked with transportation departments, city officials and utility companies across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. He has served in a wide range of transportation, pipeline and utility-related litigation matters and advised municipal governments, utility operators, law firms and private landowners.

Coro Realty pursues new Southeastern business

Coro Realty said it named Ansley Nixon as executive vice president of capital markets and Garret Brouwer as vice president of acquisitions and general counsel as the Atlanta-based real estate investment and management firm grows its presence across the Southeast. Nixon has nearly 20 years of experience in institutional capital markets, acquisitions and portfolio management, closing more than $8 billion in transactions across multiple property categories.

Nixon previously led acquisitions and other transactions in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic for Jamestown. Before that, she held roles at CBRE, Eastdil Secured, Trimont Real Estate Advisors and JPMorgan Chase. Brouwer has more than 15 years of legal and real estate experience. he most recently served as deputy general counsel at Post Brothers. He held a prior legal role at CubeSmart, where he managed transactions across a national portfolio.
