LSH beat Savills to claim 2026 Property Cup

LSH's goalkeeper made two saves in a tense penalty shoot-out this month to help the property consultancy claim its second Property Cup, organised by Jon Rae-Palmer, in three years.

A total of 16 teams took part in the annual charity tournament, which was celebrating its 60th year, to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research at QPR's Loftus Road Stadium in London. CoStar News was the media partner.

LSH and Savills drew the Cup final 0-0, with former taking the trophy after winning 4-2 on penalties. In the Plate final, CoStar and Arcadis drew 1-1 after 20 minutes to also take their game to penalties, which Arcadis won 5-3.

Rae-Palmer, head of M4 Corridor, said the tournament raised circa £12,000 this year, taking the 60-year donation amount to close to £70,000. He added: "Everyone is trying to play the game in the right spirit and we've had some great goals and saves as well, which is great to see."

Henry Boot CEO Tim Roberts to step down

Henry Boot's group chief executive Tim Roberts will leave the board later this year and will be replaced with Edward Hutchinson, interim managing director of the group's Stonebridge Homes business. The group said the timings of the transition will be confirmed "in due course". Roberts joined the business in 2020 and is credited with helping to modernise the business and establish its executive committee, as well as evolving its approach to strategy, data and reporting. He moved from British Land, where he worked for more than two decades, according to his LinkedIn profile. Hutchinson joined the group's development business in 2004 and became managing director in 2018.

CBRE recruits head of supply chain for Europe

CBRE has appointed Kimberley Cordery as head of supply chain for Europe in its industrial and logistics occupier business. CBRE said Cordery will work with clients to develop and implement real estate solutions in line with their business and supply chain strategies. She will also coordinate supply chain capabilities across Europe and partner with CBRE’s consulting team on integrated solutions for clients. Cordery joins from Philips, where she was global head of strategy and transformation, leading strategic initiatives across warehousing and distribution, following senior roles in global logistics strategy and experience in supply chain consulting at Deloitte.

Former Avison Young managing director joins Oxford Street

Oxford Street Development Corporation has appointed Kat Hanna as interim director of strategy, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. Hanna will be part of the leadership team headed by chief executive Nabeel Khan. She previously spent three and a half years at Avison Young, where she held roles including co-managing director for London and most recently, head of UK market intelligence and strategy. Prior to this she also held roles at Lendlease, where she was a masterplan strategist for the Euston Project, Cushman & Wakefield and Centre for London. OSDC was formed in January 2026 and will oversee the pedestrianisation and broader regeneration of the area.

Newmark recruits national offices team head in Glasgow

Global property consultancy Newmark has recruited Paul Broad from Avison Young to lead its newly formed national offices team in Glasgow. The newly formed team comprises Broad, the recently appointed Michael Facenna, Sven Macaulay and Ronan Ross, and will focus on growing the company's office leasing and development advisory capability across Scotland. Broad has 25 years’ experience in office agency and development consultancy and has expertise in advising on and delivering prime Grade A office developments across Glasgow city centre and the wider regions. He was most recently managing director of the national offices team, UK.

Pride in Property fundraiser returns to central London

Laura Sears, pride network chair at British Land and co-chair of Pride in Property, an annual fundraising event that aims to champion LGBTQIA+ inclusion across real estate, says the meeting is helping to "drive real progress". Founded in 2024, it aims to raise awareness, deepen understanding and drive tangible impact across the industry. Berkeley Group, British Land, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, CWG, Grosvenor, JLL, Knight Frank, Lendlease, Related Argent, Savills and The Crown Estate are all event partners. This year the show will be held at London's One Ninety Four Piccadilly and support Switchboard, a UK volunteer-led national helpline for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Lisney rebrands to Ambit CRE in Belfast

Gareth Johnston will continue to lead Belfast-based property consultancy Lisney after its board of directors decided to rebrand the business to Ambit Commercial Real Estate following a strategic review. Johnston, who has worked at the firm for more than three decades according to his LinkedIn profile, is joined by directors David McNellis, Ciaran O’Kane and John Coyle, who form the rest of the leadership team. The new identity will formally be revealed on 1 June 2026."The move marks a significant new chapter in the company’s evolution," bosses at the business said.
