Nicolas Boffi has taken the helm of the world's largest summit dedicated to cities and real estate: he has been appointed Director of Mipim by RX France, the show's organizing company. The position was previously held by Nicolas Kozubek, who stepped down at the end of July. As the new Director of Mipim, he reports to RX France General Manager Filippo Rean.
Prior to joining RX France, Nicolas Boffi led the Global Cities Program strategy at Arcadis, a world leader in sustainable real estate consulting and engineering, as Paris City Executive. In this capacity, he worked closely with private players and political leaders to design and implement sustainable urban projects in Greater Paris.
He is also President of AIVP, the Alumni Association of the École des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris, from which he graduated with a Master's degree from the Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée.
"An engineer and urban planner by training, Nicolas Boffi has over 20 years' experience, with a strong international outlook, in project management, new business development and public affairs", explains a press release from Mipim, which each year brings together over 20,000 participants from 90 countries, political representatives, business leaders and investors in Cannes to address the major challenges facing the city.
Under the leadership of Nicolas Boffi, Mipim will offer "new high points for exchange", notably between public and private players, as well as "new editorial initiatives" to support the transformation and financing of the city and real estate sector. Mipim will be held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from March 9 to 13, 2026, while the Mipim Asia Summit will take place on December 3 and 4 in Hong Kong.
Filippo Rean, Managing Director of RX France, comments: "Nicolas Boffi brings a strategic vision forged by 20 years of expertise in real estate and cities, notably through the management of complex urban projects at Arcadis. With his expertise in aligning public and private sector priorities, he will help to establish Mipim as the global meeting place where decision-makers tackle the major structural challenges facing our cities - sustainability, resilience and economic competitiveness. This appointment reflects our ambition to make Mipim the place where ideas are transformed into concrete action to shape the city of tomorrow."
Nicolas Boffi, the new Director of Mipim, adds: "Having been a regular participant, I know the importance, strength and influence of Mipim. Against a backdrop of profound geopolitical and economic change, it remains one of the few places where the global real estate community can gather alongside international political and economic leaders to understand the major developments ahead and seize new opportunities. One of the main reasons I joined Mipim was to strengthen the dialogue between public and private players. The coming years will bring their share of complex challenges - economic, political, fiscal - that require collaboration and bold decisions. Mipim must be the place where these exchanges take place, where strategies are built, and where uncertainty is transformed into opportunities for the future of our cities."
