CBRE hired Alex Heim as a senior vice president in its Ontario, California, office. The company said Heim will focus on industrial land, development, sales and leasing transactions in Southern California’s Inland Empire, one of the nation’s most active regions for development of distribution facilities.
Heim has more than a decade of experience in the Inland Empire industrial market. He previously worked at Lee & Associates, where he served as senior vice president and principal. Before his brokerage career, he was a purchasing manager at Lennar Homes.
Residential development and investment firm Trilogy Investment Co. appointed Erin Taylor as executive vice president of accounting. The Alpharetta, Georgia-based company said Taylor will oversee financial reporting and related functions across the company’s real estate investment platform that includes apartment and mixed-use properties in the Southeast, Southwest and Mountain West regions. Taylor held prior executive roles at investment firms such as Wrightwell, Fundrise and Tricon Residential.
SRS Real Estate Partners expanded its Southern California services with the opening of a new office in Santa Barbara led by new hire Mike Hieshima as senior vice president and principal. Hieshima brings more than 38 years of retail experience, having most recently served as an executive director at Lockehouse Retail Group. He held earlier executive roles at TSCG, ChainLinks Retail Advisors and Jamba Juice. Hieshima is joined in the Santa Barbara office by associate Caden Westwick, also formerly of Lockehouse.
Private equity firm Roxborough Group appointed industry veteran Christine Schadlich as director of investor relations. The San Francisco-based company said Schadlich will work with executives to guide capital formation, investment and related client transactions. She joined Roxborough from Carmel Partners after prior real estate work at Stockbridge Capital Group, Alecta and Prologis.
Investment and development firm Foundry Commercial said Matt Warren joined its Mission Property Group division as an associate broker. The company said Warren, based in Nashville, Tennessee, will handle real estate planning involving religious, educational and nonprofit clients. He is a former executive director at Cross Point Church in Nashville and brings more than a decade of experience in real estate investment and consulting.
Bracewell said it added Alex Dimock and Sam Murphy as partners in its Dallas office as the law and government-relations firm launches a new special-situations practice. The company said Dimock and Murphy will handle expanded services geared to distressed commercial real estate and related loan restructuring, including transactions involving commercial mortgage-backed securities. Both joined Bracewell from law firm Holland & Knight.
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, part of The MacKenzie Cos., said it promoted Nick Maggio, Graham Sevy and Patrick J. Smith to senior real estate adviser. The Lutherville, Maryland-based company said Maggio, Sevy and Smith previously served as real estate advisers and have several years of industry experience in the Baltimore region.
Global law firm Holland & Knight expanded its Texas real estate practice with the addition of Racy Haddad as a partner in Austin.
The firm said Haddad will advise clients on sale agreements, funding transactions and related corporate real estate matters. She brings more than 20 years of experience, having most recently served as a partner with law firm Husch Blackwell. Before that, she worked at Coats Rose, a law firm focused on real estate development.
