CBRE expands Inland Empire team
CBRE added Dennis Zhang to expand its Inland Empire team. Zhang, who served most recently as a principal and senior vice president at Lee & Associates, rejoined CBRE as a senior vice president in its Ontario, California, office. He started his career in 2007 at CBRE, where he spent more than nine years and was recognized as a top retail broker.
In his new role, Zhang will focus on investment sales, leasing and occupier property sales in the Southern California region, including portions of Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties, CBRE said.
Northmarq hire bolsters Atlanta investment sales
Ani Paulson joined Northmarq as senior vice president of commercial investment sales. Based in Atlanta, Paulson joined Northmarq from Marcus & Millichap, where she worked for seven years, most recently as senior director of investments.
Northmarq said Paulson’s hiring marks a significant expansion into the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Paulson will lead a Northmarq team that includes brokers in Atlanta and Charleston, South Carolina, focused on office, retail and industrial property transactions. Her prior clients have included real estate investment trusts, private equity firms, developers, family-run investment firms and 1031 exchange investors.
JLL expands office leasing business in Houston

JLL added Jon Dutton as an executive vice president and Andrew Elliott as vice president in its Houston office, handling office agency leasing.
The company said Dutton and Elliott, who both previously handled in-house office leasing for development and investment firm Granite Properties, will continue to do so in their new roles at JLL.
Dutton has more than 20 years of industry experience, having held previous roles in asset management and financial analysis at firms including Brookfield Properties, Lionstone Group and Weingarten Realty Investors
Elliott is returning to JLL, where he had worked for nearly three years. He also worked at CBRE and SNC-Lavalin before Granite.
Transwestern appoints branding executive

Transwestern has named Kenneth Weaver its head of brand. Based in Houston, Weaver will lead creative design and branding strategies across the firm’s service practices, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer Frances Thomson, the firm said.
Weaver joins Transwestern from CBRE, where he spent more than 15 years in marketing and creative leadership roles. He served most recently as CBRE’s senior creative director and also launched that firm’s creative talent platform for career development, including mentorship, training and community programs. He held earlier roles at Shell Oil, The EmGroup and Croxson Design.
Berkadia names co-lead for finance services

Josh Bodin was appointed to co-lead Berkadia’s Freddie Mac conventional relationship service offerings. Bodin is a senior vice president at Berkadia and is based in the Philadelphia region. At Berkadia, he held earlier roles centered on securities trading and capital markets strategy. The company said Bodin will now co-lead the firm’s Freddie Mac finance services with Senior Vice President Dan Brendes, head of government-sponsored enterprise lending.
Bodin manages capital markets activities related to Berkadia’s mortgage banking agency business, including loan pricing, trading, business analysis and investor relationships. He joined Berkadia in 2020, having held prior roles at Capital One, Beech Street Capital, Freddie Mac and PNC.
