Office-Using Job Losses, Most in the Nation, Coincide with Historic Demand Losses in the Twin Cities

Minneapolis' labor market continues to show resilience, gaining 35,400 jobs year over year in August, according to the most recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Twin Cities' total nonfarm payroll gains are over 20% higher than the average annual growth witnessed in August from 2015 to 2019, ranking it 18th among all metropolitan areas tracked.
