Cushman & Wakefield names Atlanta executive
Chris Ahrenkiel is set to join Cushman & Wakefield as managing principal in the firm’s Atlanta office. Ahrenkiel has more than 20 years of industry experience, serving most recently with Selig Enterprises, where he was an executive vice president and led the firm’s office division. Prior to Selig, Ahrenkiel served as Atlanta managing director for developer Tishman Speyer, where he oversaw projects including Three Alliance Center in the city's Buckhead district.
In his new position, Ahrenkiel will lead Cushman’s Atlanta operations, with more than 540 employees including 75 brokers, the firm said. “The firm and the Atlanta region are poised for robust growth,” Ahrenkiel said in a Cushman statement. He starts Oct. 1.
Hillwood appoints Houston leader
Developer Hillwood Investment Properties named Ryan Baumgartner as a senior vice president and market leader for its Houston region. Dallas-based Hillwood said Baumgartner will oversee regional operations including the company’s industrial-focused development pipeline. He held earlier roles at Transwestern Development Co. and Vigavi Realty.
At Hillwood, Baumgartner will be in charge of land acquisitions, leasing, marketing and business development across Houston and surrounding areas. Hillwood, a Perot company, oversees an industrial property portfolio spanning nearly 300 million square feet across the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom.
SRS promotes veteran to regional director
SRS Real Estate Partners promoted Scott Tiernan to the post of executive vice president and managing principal, based in its Atlanta office. Tiernan has more than 15 years of industry experience and previously served as a senior vice president and managing principal at SRS.
He has completed more than 700 landlord representation transactions, focused on land and new development deals and led retail location rollouts across the Southeast for firms such as Walmart, Raising Cane’s and Lowe’s.
Foundry Commercial grows Dallas team

Real estate services firm Foundry Commercial added Stacy Coulter, serving as director of building management in its Dallas office. Coulter has more than two decades of property management experience in office, retail and industrial properties. She joined Foundry from JLL, where she spent three years managing a 1 million-square-foot portfolio in the Dallas region.
Prior to JLL, she worked for seven years at Younger Partners, where she managed office and retail properties. She began her career with Trammell Crow in Houston in the late 1980s.
Her current work at Foundry includes leading the building management team for Old Parkland, owned by Crow Holdings, a historic former Dallas hospital converted into an office campus, Foundry said.
Partner Valuation hire to pursue Southern growth

Partner Valuation Advisors added James Graber as a senior managing director in Dallas, as the Chicago firm seeks to grow its presence in Texas and other South-Central states. Graber held earlier senior roles at BBG Real Estate Services and CBRE.
He served most recently as chief operating officer at BBG, where he led the development of a divisional leadership structure and implemented related management and technology system upgrades.
His work at BBG included expanding into alternative asset valuation services, such as those geared toward senior housing, automotive properties and manufactured housing. He worked earlier as a managing director at CBRE, where he oversaw its national senior housing and healthcare valuation services group.
