For most of the United States, spring has sprung, and that means lovely weather for a drink and a bite with a view. And some of the most beautiful spots to enjoy this season are from a rooftop bar or restaurant at a hotel.

Below is a list of stunning rooftop eateries at hotels across the country. Click through the slideshow to check out each of the hotels and their rooftop bars and restaurants and scroll down to read about what sets them each apart.

Cindy’s Rooftop

Chicago

An iconic Windy City institution, Cindy's Rooftop has a reputation for its fabulous views — so much that you might need to factor in a wait time on a particularly gorgeous day. Located on the 13th floor of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel — part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection — Cindy's views include Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. With its glass atrium, the restaurant's indoor seating has an outdoor feel, too. During the summer, the restaurant also has several tables of coveted terrace seating.

L.A. Jackson

Nashville, Tennessee

Located in the heart of Nashville's The Gulch neighborhood on the top floor of the Thompson Nashville Hotel, L.A. Jackson's rooftop is consistently recognized for its indoor-outdoor space. Open to Nashville natives and visitors aged 21 and up, the bar has a robust nightlife crowd, but also catches post-work guests for happy hour, which is available all day on Sundays. Available for private events, L.A. Jackson also offers special birthday and bachelorette packages.

El Techo

Philadelphia

Perched on the 11th floor of Philly's Motto hotel, El Techo is a taqueria with a casual menu in an elegant space that features retractable glass windows and roof so that visitors can enjoy year-round, open-air dining in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. The hotel was the second Motto-branded hotel that Hilton opened, and the concept made its debut in 2021.

Pen Top

New York City

Escaping the hustle and bustle of the New York City streets is a must on a pretty day, and The Peninsula New York offers its guests a stunning escape with its Pen Top bar and restaurant. While the 122-year-old hotel has a rich history in the Big Apple, its 2024 renovation elevated the experience at the luxury hotel. Located on the 23rd floor, Pen Top has an incredible view of Midtown Manhattan and, thanks to a retractable enclosure, can be enjoyed year round.

Patio Vista

Amarillo, Texas

The perfect spot to enjoy downtown Amarillo views is Patio Vista on the second floor of the historic Barfield Hotel. The concept made its debut a year ago and has been serving its visitors and locals alike with seasonal sips, happy hour and live music on the weekends. The fully covered patio allows for guests to enjoy the space even during the Texas summer, since the open-air setup catches a nice breeze.

Juniper Rooftop Restaurant and Bar

Greenville, South Carolina

Sitting eight floors above Greenville's Main Street in the AC Hotel Greenville, Juniper Rooftop Restaurant and Bar is a charming garden rooftop concept with drinks and bites — as well as special events. In the winter, when the warm patio season is a distant memory, Juniper transforms its space into a collection of igloos to keep patrons warm while still showcasing its downtown views.

Kassi

Venice Beach, California

With its sweeping ocean views, Hotel Erwin's rooftop concept Kassi is among Venice Beach's newest place to enjoy a stunning sunset on the West Coast. Featuring a seasonal food and beverage menu, Kassi, which opened last summer, also hosts private events and weekend DJs to keep the party going into the evening.
