A new tenant in an northwest Oklahoma City shopping center has opened an indoor playground to attract more recreation and events to the area.
TQPlaytopia, a 27,350-square-foot facility, opened its doors in July 2025 at Penn Crossing Shopping Center. The family-oriented entertainment center is climate-controlled and includes arcade games, bumper cars, trampoline zones, a giant rainbow slide, dedicated party rooms and an indoor zipline.
The project has earned a 2026 CoStar Impact Award for Lease of the Year for Oklahoma City, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
Wiggins Properties represented the landlord of Penn Crossing, and the lease was signed in March 2025.
TQPlaytopia aims to differentiate itself from other family indoor entertainment venues in the Oklahoma City region. Since its opening last summer, community reviews have highlighted TQPlaytopia's cleanliness, engaging play structures and attentive staff as a safe, family-friendly destination.
TQPlaytopia's location should also drive more families to the Penn Crossing Shopping Center, which includes a Walmart Neighborhood Market, Dollar Tree and Ace Hardware.

What the judges said: "This tenant will bring life to the shopping center with a family-friendly amenity," said Kelley Chambers, director of research at Newmark Robison Park.
"Adaptive reuse for a non-traditional tenant type that is an emerging niche: 'Eatertainment.' We're going to see more and more of these concepts coming to the fore such as Pop Golf, Five Iron Golf, Fowling, Chicken & Pickle, Camp Pickle, etc.," said Darin Dalbom, president/appraiser at NPVa.
