UK life sciences property developer Bruntwood SciTech is teaming up with law firm Hill Dickinson to sponsor and host the LandAid North West 10k and 5k runs later this year.

The races, which will bring together professionals from across the property community, are taking place on 6 June at Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park in Cheshire.

Starting from outside Glasshouse, the park’s 150,000-square-foot tech and innovation hub, the route will see runners trek through 400 acres of parkland, woodland and farmland.

Funds raised from the event will go directly to LandAid, the property industry charity, which brings businesses and individuals together to support projects that provide accommodation for young people facing homelessness.

By awarding monetary grants and arranging free property expertise, LandAid helps charities to provide safe, warm and affordable accommodation in a supportive environment for young people.

Last year’s event helped to raise more than £12,000 for the charity, while this year's edition will include prizes for the fastest racers and the fastest team.

Josh Whiteley, commercial director at Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund, said in a statement: "It’s great that we were able to support LandAid again by hosting their North West 10k and 5k at Alderley Park.

"After the success of last year’s event, we can’t wait to welcome runners to Alderley Park again, to help support tackling youth homelessness."

Entry costs £30 per person for the 5k, and £35 per person for the 10k, with team entries available. The event takes place at 5:30pm on 6 June.
