Transwestern expands Atlanta project services team
Heidi Swygert joined Transwestern Real Estate Services as senior vice president of project services. She's based in the firm’s Atlanta office. Swygert previously served as a vice president in JLL’s project development services group, where she represented clients including Delta Air Lines, Equifax, Boston Consulting Group and Truist Securities. She worked earlier as a development associate at KDC Real Estate Development and Investments.
Swygert will lead and expand Transwestern’s project services in the Southeast and partner with the firm's agency leasing, tenant advisor and property management teams, the company said. She will also serve on Transwestern’s national project services steering committee.
Newmark pursues Midwest valuation business
Newmark hired Michael Moynagh as a senior managing director for its valuation and advisory practice based in its Minneapolis office. The brokerage said Moynagh will also serve as market leader for Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa, where he will oversee business development, client relations and appraisal report production.
The 35-year industry veteran served most recently as senior managing director at CBRE. He has experience in appraisals, litigation support and related consulting for clients across multiple property types, including office, multifamily, retail, hotels, golf courses and airport terminals.
Ferguson bolsters healthcare property consulting
Property industry consulting firm Ferguson Partners appointed Lara Gartner as managing director to lead the company’s healthcare real estate executive search practice. She's based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters. Gartner is a 20-year industry veteran who worked most recently at senior housing REIT Ventas, where she led the company’s first internal talent acquisition programs.
She earlier held roles at executive search firms Martin Partners and Gartner Partners, as well as at investment firm Centre Lane Partners. At Ferguson, Gartner will lead its search and leadership advisory services for clients in the healthcare property sector, including senior housing, medical outpatient buildings and life science facilities, the firm said.
Clearwater Living adds senior facilities executive

Clearwater Living, an owner, operator and developer of senior living communities, hired Nick Castilleja as a regional director of operations focused on facilities in Texas and Oregon. Castilleja is a 16-year industry veteran who served most recently as vice president of operations at Integral Senior Living.
He began his career in 2009 with Horizon Bay and has held leadership roles, including as a manager of multistate portfolios encompassing up to 21 properties. In his new role at Newport Beach, California-based Clearwater Living, he will oversee areas including strategic planning, financial performance and quality assurance for the company’s independent living, assisted living and memory support facilities, the company said.
Franklin Street hires managing director in Nashville

Commercial real estate services firm Franklin Street said it hired Justin Sturdivant as regional managing director for its office in Nashville, Tennessee, where he will lead recruiting and business expansion while continuing to work with investment sales clients. Sturdivant previously worked for 18 years at Marcus & Millichap, where he closed more than $694 million in transactions and served most recently as first vice president.
Founded in 2006, Tampa, Florida-based Franklin Street has 10 offices nationwide and has targeted Dallas as its next market. The firm said it is also planning to expand services at some of its existing offices, including Atlanta, Charlotte, North Carolina; Cincinnati, Miami, and Jacksonville, Florida.
