Just over 5,700 apartment units were under construction in Milwaukee’s multifamily market at the end of the second quarter. This marks the highest level of units under construction on record for the metropolitan area. This record wave of new supply will be a welcome addition for Milwaukee, which by many accounts is in the midst of a housing crisis.
