Knight Frank appoints head of global capital markets

Knight Frank has appointed well-known City and London office investment adviser Nick Braybrook as head of global capital markets. Braybrook will be responsible for co-ordinating more than 250 capital markets advisers around the world for the company. He will collaborate with the capital market heads based in six regions around the world, as well as Knight Frank capital advisory while continuing to lead the London capital markets and development team. He will also work closely with the private office – an international team delivering bespoke real estate services for global high-net-worth individuals, and head of international capital UK Joshua Morris.

Colliers marks return of Leeds associate director

Cal Robinson has returned to Colliers’ Leeds office as an associate director, having originally started his career in the retail team in the city. With a decade of experience in the retail sector, Robinson has since worked at Selco and Asda, where he was part of the acquisitions team. A qualified chartered surveyor since 2017, he specialises in agency, acquisitions and disposals. Robinson will focus on national leasing at Colliers, particularly acquisitions on behalf of occupiers such as EG On the Move, Screwfix, and Sainsbury’s. Angus McMillan and Adam Hockley have also joined Colliers retail team in London, with the trio bringing more than 18 years of experience.

Industrial specialist Network Space hires investment manager

Corinne Travis has joined Network Space as investment manager. She brings more than a decade of experience and moves from Knight Frank, where she worked in capital markets across Yorkshire. Travis worked in valuation, lease advisory and general consultancy at Knight Frank and spent six years at Sanderson Weatherall, specialising in insolvency and receivership work, prior to that. Gabrielle Nash has also joined the warehouse specialist's investment team, where she takes on the role of property assistant. She will support the team’s in-house property and asset management offering. Travis said: "Moving from an agency to an in-house role is an exciting next step."

Aboria Capital appoints head of client capital

Aboria Capital, the living-focused real estate investment management firm, has appointed Issie Armstrong as head of client capital, joining from DWS Group. In her previous role she was head of real estate specialists, EMEA, excluding Germany/Austria, for nearly four years, leading on product strategy and investment initiatives, including capital formation, for European real estate equity products. She worked closely with Aboria co-founder and CEO Jessica Hardman. Aboria is launching with a £1.4 billion UK pipeline of PBSA and flexible living projects, with Armstrong being asked to "spearhead investor engagement and lead targeted fundraising initiatives".

Finance expert takes CFO role at warehouse specialist

Delin Property, the European logistics warehouse specialist, has appointed Nick Martin as chief financial officer. Martin has more than two decades of experience in corporate, fund and asset finance in markets across Europe and joins from Palm Capital, where he was CFO for seven years. During that time he supported the firm's growth as an operating partner for institutional capital.

Previously he worked at Tristan Capital as the finance director for three pan-European funds. From 2008 he worked as a contracted financial controller for six years, for a number of real estate companies including Macquarie and Delancey. During his training he worked in a variety of roles in financial services at PwC and KPMG.

Real estate pros get set for Colliers 'Mudathon'

Fay McEwan, chair of Colliers’ charitable initiative Colliers Gives UK and associate director, is encouraging commercial property professionals to take part in the annual Colliers "Mudathon" fundraiser, with a tougher, muddier course awaiting participants in Essex this September. The challenge, which involves participants completing a 5-kilometre amphibious obstacle course, has raised more than £100,000 for charity since its inception in 2015 and was hosted in Dorking, Surrey, last year with 41 teams taking part. This year's nominated charities are Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK, Prostate Cancer UK and men’s mental health campaign Two Pints Deep.

Civic names first executive chair

Civic, the built-environment specialists working on projects such as Park Hill in Sheffield and Mayfield Manchester, has appointed Dominic Miller as its first executive chair. The firm called Miller instrumental in shaping its trajectory since joining the board as a non-executive director in 2022. He is an experienced corporate strategist and leader, with expertise in governance, acquisitions and operational efficiency across industries. Civic added that the recruit will help drive its next phase of growth and double in size over the next three to four years. "My role is to ensure that the business is resilient, efficient and primed for sustainable expansion," Miller said.
