Newmark names industrial project lead; Cushman hires Houston healthcare director; Colliers brings on South Florida vice president

Dana Miarmi has joined Newmark as national industrial lead for project management, a new role at the global commercial real estate services firm. She also is a vice president at Newmark.

In her new role, Miarmi will collaborate with professionals across the country to drive business development, lead client strategy and work with occupiers, developers and investors as they execute complex capital projects, Newmark said. She brings over two decades of experience to the position, having led industrial business development, client strategy and project delivery across North America throughout her career. She most recently served as national industrial lead for JLL’s project and development services group, or PDS.

Heinrich Cronje joined Cushman & Wakefield as a managing director in the firm’s Houston healthcare advisory practice. He specializes in medical-related real estate, and his practice includes the representation of healthcare tenants and large health systems. He also will work with institutional and entrepreneurial owners of medical office properties and other sophisticated healthcare owners, operators and investors, the firm said. Cronje, who previously worked at healthcare real estate firm Carr, has brokered over $300 million in deals.

Colliers added Scott Allen as a senior vice president in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Specializing in tenant representation, lease negotiations, acquisitions and dispositions for national corporate occupiers, Allen advises clients across all facets of commercial real estate transactions, the real estate services firm said. He brings over 27 years of experience to the firm. He joined Colliers from Franklin Street.

Molly Moran has been appointed as Hoar Construction’s director of business development for the firm’s Florida division. In her new role, she will cultivate client relationships, identify project opportunities and drive growth across the state, Hoar said. She brings over 13 years of construction business development experience. Moran most recently served as vice president of business development at Cross Environmental Services.

Hoar also said it promoted Brandon Smith to director of division operations for its Florida division. In his new role, he will lead project staffing and field operations, operational consistency, team development and strategic growth initiatives across the state, the construction company said. Smith joined Hoar in 2014.

Irvine, California-based American Healthcare REIT appointed Aric Chang as chief financial officer, effective Oct. 1. Chang will succeed Brian Peay, who is retiring after 10 years, American Healthcare said. Chang is set to join the real estate investment trust from Public Storage, where as CFO of real estate, he oversaw that REIT's property and corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment underwriting and analytics. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles at New York Stock Exchange-listed REITs, real estate private equity and research.

Rob Hennes joined Nashville, Tennessee-based architecture firm Gresham Smith as a vice president. In his new role, he will lead the healthcare strategic consulting practice, Gresham Smith said.

He has advised clients on more than $250 million in healthcare capital deployment and has guided health systems, physician enterprises and investors through a variety of strategic, financial and operational decisions. He brings over 15 years of experience to the role.
