After peaking in mid-2022, the East Bay’s capital markets activity has slammed on the brakes, posting a quarter-over-quarter sales volume decline of just over 32% as of the second quarter in 2023. Trailing 12-month volume thus far totals $4.2 billion, which would be the lowest mark since the second quarter of 2014.
