Derwent London has leased the 16,531-square-foot penthouse floor at its landmark Tea Building in London's Shoreditch to PerfectTed, the fast-growing UK matcha tea brand.

PerfectTedis an emerging brand in the UK’s beverage and wellness space and says the penthouse floor reflects its momentum and its ambition to build a headquarters that mirrors its "energy and forward-thinking approach".

The brand was invested in by Steven Bartlett on Dragons’ Den in 2023, and he remains an active partner. He initially invested £50,000 for a 5% stake which was later increased, and later invested another £1 million.

The decision to locate in the Tea Building was driven by the building’s architectural character and heritage, and its reputation as a hub for design-led businesses. The space provides an environment aligned with PerfectTed’s brand identity while placing the team at the heart of Shoreditch’s creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Oli Cohen at Belcor who was acting for the tenant, said: “This deal further reinforces how Shoreditch remains the go to area for some of the UK’s most innovative brands. The Tea Building epitomises Shoreditch, full of character and offering excellent design-led offices.”
