Filipino fast food chain Jollibee, which has developed a cult-like following for its "chickenjoy" fried chicken, plans to set up shop for the first time in downtown Los Angeles as the chain embarks on a massive nationwide expansion in an attempt to become one of the world's largest quick-service restaurant operators.
