The Palm Qassim Handwritten Collection

Accor and Riyadh-based owner and management firm Amsa Hospitality have signed the 142-room The Palm Qassim Handwritten Collection, the first Handwritten soft-brand hotel in Saudi Arabia. Scheduled to open in the last quarter of the year, the hotel in Buraidah, Qassim Province, is to be the first of several partnerships.

The Dean Munich

Irish hotel firm The Dean has opened its second hotel in Germany, the 281-room The Dean Munich, Autograph Collection, operated by Marriott International and co-owned by Dean Group and New York City-based Elliott Management Corp. It opened the 81-room The Dean Berlin in February. The Dean has three hotels in Ireland and has its first hotel outside of Europe in development in Miami.

Cloud 7 opens Kuwait hotel

Cloud 7 Hotels, part of Kerten Hospitality, has opened the Ray by Cloud 7 in Mangaf, Kuwait, the 59-room property overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Kerten will operate the hotel, which is owned by Al-Nawadi Holding Co., according to CoStar.

Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros opens

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened the 50-room Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros on the Greek island of Paros that will be under Hyatt’s Destination by Hyatt soft brand and operated by SWOT Hospitality. The owner is local firm Kampos Hospitality Services.

Four Spanish hotels reopen

Spain’s state-owned network of important, listed and heritage hotels and accommodations, Paradores Hotels & Restaurants has reopened four hotels in the country. Two are located in the province of Cantabria, the 28-room Parador de Santillana Altamira and the Parador de Santillana Gil Blas, also with 28 rooms. One is in the province of Navarra, the 43-room Parador de Olite-Erriberri, and the final hotel is in the province of Aragón, the 66-room Parador de Sos del Rey Católico. Approximately, €20 million ($23 million) has been spent renovating the quartet of hotels.

Revelop acquires 10 Sweden hotels

Stockholm-based owner Revelop has acquired 10 budget hotels operating under the brand Good Morning Hotels and including approximately 1,080 rooms. The hotels are all in Sweden and will continue to be operated by Ligula Hospitality. CoStar has said no price has been disclosed for the deal.

Millemont acquires Oxford Courtyard by Marriott

Millemont Capital Partners has acquired the 151-room Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Center in a £74 million transaction that the seller, Dominus, claims is the “largest urban, single-asset hotel transaction outside of London” in 2026. Dominus acquired the hotel’s building in 2014 and operated it as a hotel since 2019.

IHG signs trio of hotels in Spain

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed three franchise hotels in Spain with all three properties planned to be new-build Holiday Inn Express properties. The agreement with Selecto, a new partnership between owner Tikehau Capital and operator Quest Capital, includes the 259-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Málaga Palacio de Congresos; 244-room Holiday Inn Express Madrid Julián Camarillo and 150-room Holiday Inn Express Barcelona Fira.

Radisson Hotel Cannes Seaside opens

Radisson Hotel Group has opened the 100-room Radisson Hotel Cannes Seaside on the French Riviera in collaboration with owner SAS Louvre Hotels Group and operator SAS Soc Hotellerie de la Croix des Gardes. SAS acquired the property, formerly part of Accor’s Mercure brand, for approximately €23 million ($26.6 million) in August 2025, according to CoStar.

Hyatt Place London City East chooses operator

RBH Hospitality Management will operate its first Hyatt-branded hotel, the 276-room Hyatt Place London City East. Singapore-based Sun Venture owns the hotel.

NH Collection Innsbruck Grand Hotel Europa scheduled for renovation

Thailand-based Minor Hotels, via division Minor Hotels Europe, will manage the Grand Hotel Europa in Innsbruck, Austria, which formerly was an independent with 107 rooms. Its new chapter will start in 2029 with 120 rooms. The hotel first opened in 1869.

Radisson Blu Bonn opens in Germany

The 336-room Radisson Blu Bonn has opened in the former capital of former West Germany adjacent to the World Conference Center Bonn. Art Invest Real Estate owns the asset and Invite Group GmbH operates it.

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay opens for business

In May, Accor brand Mövenpick Hotel & Residences opened the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Teuta Kotor Bay, with views of Montenegro’s UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor. It is the first hotel for the brand in Montenegro, but it will be joined by a sibling in the country’s Kvarner Bay by the end of the year. BRIV Construction d.o.o. is the owner and BRIV Hospitality is the operator.

Marriott Zurich sells

Pictet Alternative Advisors, via its real-estate fund Elevation II, has acquired the 266-room Marriott Zurich, which will be managed by Vertell Asset Management following a four-year renovation due to start in the first quarter of 2027. The property also will include an adjacent, 105-room staff-accommodations tower.
