Colliers has added two senior capital market hires to its industrial and logistics department as it continues to combine its investment, leasing and advisory teams.
From 5 January, capital markets specialist James Fairweather is joining as co-head of the department, working alongside Len Rosso who has headed the firm’s industrial leasing and advisory services for 20 years.
He joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate alongside his former colleague George Rosser, who is a director.
Colliers said the appointments come as it combines its capital markets experts with its sector-specialist leasing and advisory teams as part of CEO John Munday’s reconfiguration of the firm’s transactional departments.
In November, Colliers launched One London, combining its London office and retail teams to create a dedicated service across the capital.
The combined industrial and logistics team will have 45 experts based across Colliers’ 13 office locations covering advice from promoting strategic land for development, leasing, development funding and investment transactional advice.
“It’s an exciting time for our business as we reconfirm our focus on providing clients with access to specialists who really know the demands of their sector,” said Colliers UK’s CEO John Munday. “We’ve been building on our team strengths over the last year as we strive to be considered the go-to experts across each asset class, and we’re really excited to welcome James and George today.”
As well as transaction specialists, the firm also has asset class specialists across advisory services including valuations, building consultancy and business rates.
Fairweather added: “I’m really excited to be joining Colliers at this time where they’re building on its success and looking to grow their market share in the industry. The new business model will certainly unlock opportunities across the board and I’m looking forward to enhancing our strategic development, funding and investment advice offer to clients with the expert team already in place.”
Rosso said: “James and I have been adjacent to each other on many deals throughout our careers, so it’s going to be great to be on the same team going forward. The industrial sector has shown its resilience over the last decade, and Colliers has been influential in shaping that through our best-in-class sector knowledge and analysis.”
