Downtown Gainesville Poised for Major Redevelopment

Retail, Office, Hotel and Conference Center Planned on 5.46 Acres

Downtown Gainesville will undergo major changes over the next year as a major mixed-use redevelopment project is in the works. The site of the city's police station and the adjacent Townview Plaza shopping center, a total of 5.46 acres, will be transformed into two 11-story office towers, a 13-story, 250-room hotel and conference center, and 8,000 square feet of retail space.
