Delin Property, the European logistics warehouse specialist, has appointed Nick Martin as chief financial officer.

Martin has more than two decades of experience in corporate, fund and asset finance in markets across Europe and joins from Palm Capital, where he was CFO for seven years.

During that time he supported the firm's growth as an operating partner for institutional capital. Previously he worked at Tristan Capital as the finance director for three pan-European funds.

Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. During his training he worked in a variety of roles in financial services at PwC and KPMG, subsequently moving into corporate finance at Smith and Williamson.

From 2008 he worked as a contracted financial controller for six years, for a number of real estate companies including Macquarie and Delancey.

Delin Property CEO Tom Wattles said in a statement: "Nick’s broad skillset and strategic, entrepreneurial mindset will be tremendous assets for us as we grow our platform and footprint in European logistics real estate as a co-investment partner and fund manager. We’re delighted to welcome him to the Delin team."

Martin added: "It’s an exciting time to be joining Delin on the cusp of a new investment cycle. It has a strong track record and tremendous in-house expertise in acquisitions and in developing or repositioning assets to the highest institutional standards."
