Fast-Growing University Strikes $39.85M Sale Leaseback for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Campus in North Haven

Quinnipiac University said it acquired the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield campus on Bassett Road from Anthem's parent company, WellPoint, Inc., according to Patrick J. Healy, Ph.D., senior vice president for finance and administration at Quinnipiac. The private university negotiated the $39.8 million sale and partial leaseback of four buildings totaling 574,748 square feet of office space housing the regional operations for the health insurance provider in North Haven, CT. Jones Lang LaSalle Managing Directors Mark De Riemer and Spyros Kapsalis represented the seller in the sale and leaseback.
