Newmark has named Charlie Farra executive vice president and market leader of its Seattle and Bellevue offices in the brokerage's latest leadership shift in the Pacific Northwest.
Farra will remain active as a broker representing tenants across the Puget Sound region as he takes on the added responsibilities of overseeing the two offices totaling nearly 40 professionals, Newmark said.
He replaces Tim O’Keefe, a 30-year industry veteran who spearheaded the opening of the company's Seattle and Bellevue offices. O’Keefe will continue in his role as a broker at Newmark, where he has been a top producer since joining the firm in 2016.
Newmark, based in New York City, said Farra has built a strong background in tenant representation over his 15 years in brokerage. Farra has been particularly adept at helping occupiers determine their office space needs as remote work and hybrid schedules have increased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the brokerage.
Farra's reputation as a strong leader while representing clients amid shifting market conditions set him up for the promotion that represents “the next stage of growth for Newmark in the region,” executive managing director Jon Mackey said in a statement. Newmark promoted Mackey to Northwest region market leader in November.
Mackey oversees 13 offices in Washington, Oregon and Northern California after spending four years as market leader and executive managing director in San Jose, California.
