A Los Angeles landlord, with an assist from civic-minded Colliers brokers Anneke Greco, Danny Redell, both pictured, and Gil Canton, donated office space for a charity rummage sale that benefits Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a major pediatric care center.
For the second straight year, Coretrust Capital Partners donated 22,000 square feet through a one-month lease on the ground floor of its Pasarroyo office park in Pasadena, California. The Greco-Redell-Canton team worked with Coretrust to secure the space at 251 South Lake Ave.
Pasadena Guild of Children’s Hospital, a nonprofit healthcare operation that raises funds for hospital research, education and patient programs, plans to hold its annual Treasures and Trivia sale at the site next week from Oct. 27 to Oct. 29.
Greco helped the guild last year upgrade the location of its rummage sale, held for years in older retail space in the area, to the 650,000-square-foot Pasarroyo development. She and her team joined Colliers in June from rival JLL.
“One of my very good friends who is very involved in the Pasadena guild reached out last year to see if I knew of any buildings or landlords that would consider donating space for the sale, which is their biggest fundraiser of the year,” Greco said in an interview. "Previously, they held the fundraiser in old, sort of subpar market space.”
The lease donated by Coretrust is valued at $100,000, according to Greco, who co-brokered the deal with Redell and JLL broker Josh Wrobel.
