Hyphen, an international architectural practice headquartered in Winchester, has named Eva Diego as its chief executive officer.
Diego succeeds Eddie Miles, who stays with Hyphen in the role of chair, as part of what the firm called a planned transition.
It added that the appointment "marks a significant milestone in Hyphen’s ongoing growth and evolution", as the business looks deliver projects across retail, hospitality, workplace, logistics and the digital infrastructure sector.
The firm also has offices offices in London, Belfast, Berlin, Dublin, Madrid, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, Santiago and Adelaide.
Diego is an architect with more than 25 years’ experience and established Hyphen's Madrid studio, as well as leading the company’s expansion into and across Latin America.
As CEO the firm said she would focus on strengthening Hyphen's advisory capability, deepening relationships with major clients, and expanding the its work in international architecture and digital infrastructure.
Diego said in a statement: "Global demand for critical digital infrastructure is reshaping the built environment, and we are well positioned to lead.
"We act as both expert delivery partners and trusted architectural advisors for our clients, helping them to navigate complex and technically demanding projects while ensuring commercial viability."
Eddie Miles, chair of Hyphen, added: "Eva’s appointment reaffirms Hyphen’s ambition to become a truly international practice. She has been central to the business’s growth over many years, and I have total confidence in her leadership.
