Population growth in Massachusetts varies by region but has seen strong growth in suburban towns as well as large cities outside of Boston, according to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The Census estimates included 58 communities in Massachusetts. A majority of them, 31, recorded population declines, while 27 saw population gains between 2024 and 2025.
