Real estate adviser Savills has appointed four people in its building and project consultancy team covering the North of England.

Will Smithies also joins as an associate director in the North development project management team to support the living and industrial and logistics sectors. Peter Knight joins as an associate director specialising in cladding and fire, bolstering a growing specialist service line for the team.

Michael Booth joins the dilapidations and professional team as a trainee surveyor and Gemma Harvey comes in to the business support team.

The hires follow an intake in January that included Alexander Smith coming in as a director to lead the North office occupier project management team, as well as Connor Hewitson and Ryan Gough for the recently formed Newcastle team.

Gary Bulloch, head of Savills Northern building and project consultancy team, said: “The new hires reflect the strengthening of our BPC teams in the North and in conjunction with our national network and beyond. We continue to build on our mission to provide composite solutions led by specialists. There’s a lot of activity in the North from retrofits to new builds and our new colleagues will all support us in achieving high-quality results for our clients.”

Simon Collett, executive director and head of BPC at Savills adds: “We are delighted to welcome the new joiners to Savills. The Northern team is growing its service lines significantly and bringing in these first-class specialists will help to deliver the work that Savills is renowned for.”
