Manufacturing and Office Sectors Drive Job Losses

According to the latest preliminary data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), metropolitan Milwaukee's labor market continued to contract in June, bringing seasonally adjusted payrolls to 855,800. On a year-over-year basis, this represents a 0.1% contraction in Milwaukee's workforce and marks the lowest workforce level since mid-2022.
